Weird out-of-tune issue

Bought a sound pack on ADSR (Epic & Uplifting Trance) a while back, and while the sounds are great they almost always load slightly out of pitch. I haven't found any setting that indicates that it's on purpose, and it stays out of pitch until I move the pitch wheel and release - then it adjusts and stays in the correct pitch.
The weird thing is that it only happens with sounds from this package. Any ideas about what it could be?

I would recommend taking it up with them possibly, it's hard for me to speculate but it sounds like they may be saved with the pitch wheel in a non-centered position from your description.
