Serum writes files to my desktop???

Hi,
it looks like serum writes files with preset names to my desktop when i browse the presets.
maybe i´ve specifyed a wrong directory at some point?

Hmm, that sounds pretty strange.  Serum doesn't contain any code that is aware of the desktop, so for things to be written there from Serum is slightly unlikely.    Indeed it is possibly to set Serum Presets folder to be located off the desktop but I wouldn't suspect that to be the case (Serum still doesn't execute writing when loading presets, for one).   Maybe you can email me one of the files in question -> [email protected] so I can try to make sense of what it is and how it got created.   Right now I sort-of suspect your host is doing this, but I'm not sure of course, so please mention your DAW and OS.
