Serum as first synth?

Started by KeithD

I am thinking about buying serum as my first big synth. Is this a smart decision or should I start with something more simple? I've been using some of sytrus lately.

I think Serum is a pretty simple synth besides its Wavetable editor.
It is layed out even more clear than sytrus in my opinion.

The only thing I miss in Serum is a more advanced Patch manager as it is found for example in all u-he synths and a Sequencer.
But this might come it future to Serum as well :)

Do it, Serum comes equipped with visuals, actually helping the learning curve in your favor big time. i found myself learning a lot more in serum more than any other synthesizer
