I've been helping one of my friends with some production stuff and while on his own he experienced a crash that shut down ableton and serum and he isolated it down to while he was trying to load specific third party WT/Presets. I was talking to him over text to help him solve the crash and, from what I've gathered it sounded like he was unknowingly trying to load a wavetable as a preset or load a preset as a wavetable?? I helped correct him, but when I get home from work I'm going to try to replicate the exact same thing he was doing that caused the crash to see if that's really what it was and send you an email if that's the case. I know this is obviously something that you shouldn't do but (load presets and WT and vice versa) but i thought I'd let you know so in case that was what was causing the crash that you might be able to add some kind of catch/exception or whatever in the code (my computer science terminology is a little rusty) to help prevent accidents like this from happening and causing project crashes. It is worth noting that we both have legitimate copies of serum through splice.
I'll let you know if that's what was causing it.
