Preset browser defaulting to the first preset

So yesterday I decided to sort my Splice folder in genre and packs. I noticed that with random samples, after going past the last preset of the folder, it'll default back to the Ampology bass preset. like for example going from the last bass in the entire Synthwave folder to the first preset in the Bells > Synthwave folder is no issue, but going from let's say Matte Noise to MatteXNoise will default it back to Ampology. anyone know how this can happen?
