I was just wondering how the license is handled for Serum - does it use something like iLok or similar? And related, is it possible/allowed to then install Serum on multiple machines (though it won't be run concurrently)?

The license is for an individual, You can install Serum on multiple machines you personally own (it is not to be used from multiple locations simultaneously e.g. by more than one person).
