So, I just tried to do the update. I am on windows and it said to install to the 64bit folder, which I did, then I tried to open ableton and it gave me all these runtime errors and would not open. I tried many times and rebooting many times as well.
I then realized I just installed into the 64 bit folder but not the sub "vstplugins folder" so I cut the dll's out and inserted them into the vstfolder, thinking that may have been the problem, but still ableton will not open, crashing when it tries to scan the plugins? I even deleted all the serum dll's out of the folder and still ableton won't open
Any ideas on what I should try?
