It appears that MPE on Serum doesn't behave as on other MPE synths (Surge XT, OPS7).
When I play the same MIDI note from two different pads on my Linnstrument, it retriggers (steals) the first one, instead of playing a new instance of the same note (allowing me to stack and detune the same midi notes).
Maybe there's a setting I'm missing. All I've done is activated MPE in the menu pull down in Serum. (and activated MPE on my controller).

Is there a setting I might be missing to get proper MPE duplicate notes (multiple unique instances of the same note number, for example, when triggered on a Linnstrument) or could this be a feature request? (Present on other MPE devices I've used so far).
Is there a setting to adjust this issue? Or is this something to look forward to in an update?
There is an update coming with an improvement to pitch bend sent prior to note-on, it might be what you're referring to. Longer term there is an overhaul to MPE coming with a lot more feature/ability.
What I'm referring to doesn't have to do with MPE pitch bend, but MPE note trigger. In MPE it's possible to trigger the same midi note number from different positions (example: on a guitar you can play an A note on the 5th fret of the E string, and also play the same octave A note on the open A string).
Currently Serum doesn't allow for multiple independent triggers of the same note number via MPE (If I understand the way this works it should be possible, as with other MPE synths, because each new note is on a different MIDI channel, yeah?)
Serum's handling of multiple notes on the same note number is determined by a preference on the Global page:
"Limit Polyphony to One of Any Note Number"
