Mac Install Serum Demo exe not opening

Hi, I am getting this error

You can’t open the application “Install_Xfer_Serum_Demo.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on macOS.

When i double click the exe download for the Serum demo, from Plugin Boutique.

I tried right clicking and selecting Open but that didn't work either.

If you care to add an opinion about whether Serum is better for Mac or Windows I'm open to hearing it as well, because I am feeling like maybe this is the Universe telling me to get back to FL Studio…

Hi Andy,

That message is correct - Exe files are for Windows, so you downloaded the Windows demo. Maybe Plugin boutique has things backwards, I would recommend downloading the demo for MacOS from here on the Serum page.

I wouldn't say Serum is better for Mac or Windows. It's nice that MacOS plugins can be 32+64 bit in one file, and it's nice that MacOS has a standard location for plugin files, but those things really don't matter for making music.
