How to clone a synth sound in serum?

Hi Steve and first, your synth is a killer!

I would like to know the steps to import a sound, let's say a virus reese or wobble note that I would sample, and then make it a "clone"?
There are so many options that I'd like to focus on that side first before beginning experimenting.

So, I would cut my sample of my virus note in my DAW, then drag'ndrop into the OSC A, and after?

I would like to find the original movement of the sample if you now what I mean….

Hope I'm clear! ;)

if it has no pitch modulation, drag it to the 3rd option which appears (pitch average) and you should be done. You might want to use "fade edges" in the editor->Process menu after importing and maybe morph->crossfade or morph->spectral. The manual covers this topic better than I could type here, I'll try to make a video covering it also.

Thanks Steve,
I managed to get close with the first option and an envelop to modulate the wavetable, since there are some pitch movement…
I think it's really an intuitive synth with cool modulation capabilities like massive which is really good, but I need to grasp some concepts of the wavetable cause that is the really powerful part of this synth. Very well done Steve! Congrats!

A first video explaining how the wavetable works, how to clone different kind of synth sound, editing the imported waveform and al, would be the first thing to do I think, cause as I said the rest of the synth is clearly layout so only neebies to synths would need a general walkthrough video… ;)
