How is Steve doing these days

Sorry, I just miss checking what Steve is up to on Twitter and any talk from him about Serum. We love you Steve!

I've been really great, thanks for checking in - It feels like a privilege to have zero social media presence, I guess in a way you don't exist without it, but I'm not sure I want to exist there. I'm glad to no longer create content for that machine. Serum has it's own audience, so I'm thrilled to be able to put my energy in to seeing Serum rise to its full potential and know that others will help carry it, and I expect all the more so if I just focus on making it great and nothing else.

I got a little overwhelmed with Serum's popularity, it's been a wild ride but became very routine with support and maintenance updates. I (well, ALL of us) are lucky to have the right help /collaborators for Serum 2. I've put my heart in to this project like I wasn't able to with Serum originally pre-1.0 (with constant technical challenges in your face, it's hard to remain unbiased on the big picture).

Hey Steve I’m glad that you are doing well and happy holidays! Do you have a rough estimate for the release date of Serum 2? Maybe a 10 years Xmas present? Not to rush, but I guess everyone here, including me, is super hyped about it :)

I wanted (a long time ago) to hit Serum's 10 year in September, but even early in the year I knew that would never pan out unless we compromised on what we wanted to make.

Holidays didn't quite make sense, I mean it's a gift arguably for registered users, I have had that mindset at least - however I don't think the holidays would be a great time to release software considering everyone I work with would be really busy and unhappy about that timing.

"Not to rush" indeed, this is the mantra we've followed - I hope it will show in the result and the many refined touches. Things are shoring up but nothing imminent, announced, or otherwise. It won't be long if I just continue to neglect these forums…

Glad to hear from ya Steve. Glad things are good. I have been a way for awhile so thought I'd check in. Looking fwd to S2 when it comes. Glad you are taking your time on it. More fun that way. :)
