I just bought Serum and love it but there is one issue that is mind-boggling.When I try to drag and drop a wav file(1-2 seconds in length) into the wavetable editor it doesn't seem to recognize it.I've already contacted my DAW's support team(no response yet) about the issue but thought I'd ask on here if anyone might have a solution.I want to create my custom wave table really bad:[
You can import files from the WT Editor Import menu as well. Are you dragging an actual file (not a region)? Can you drag this to other VST's which accept file drags (assuming you ave any)? you could also try dragging from Explorer if you can get a file window and Serum visible at the same time.
Thanks for the reply! Well it looks like I can import the file into the WT no problem there. Whenever I drag and drop to my other Vst(Alpha Sampler) it accepts the clip just fine.Could you explain the distinction between the file versus the region bit? That might be the problem but if not the manual import method will do just fine.
Alpha sampler is part of mixcraft so it is able to accept their custom internal drag information, Serum just gets handed a bunch of meaningless data if you drag a region from a host, so I can't do anything with that gibberish. Serum needs an actual file drag (as you know, a user can "drag" all sorts of things on a computer, but Serum needs the operating system to be saying, "this is a file"). In most hosts/DAWs this is from a "file browser".
