I've spent a good hour or two trying to get the demo version to work.
There are no presets in my DOCUMENTS\Xfer\Cthulhu Presets folder.
Should there be? I Extracted the .exe file to a folder to check and there were no presets in there either!
I can play it by clicking the speaker icon but that just appears to be the internal saw.
I routed it to Nexus in Cubase 7.5 but no sounds from Nexus when playing keys in Cthulhu. I followed the instruction manual
I'm running Windows 7 64 with Cubase 7.5.40
Not sure what you're facing. Maybe some sort of Antivirus quarantine scenario is all I can think. If I extract the demo EXE with 7-zip (which shouldn't be needed anyway) I get:
$_12_ (Cthulhu_x64.dll folder)
$DOCUMENTS <- PRESETS ARE IN HERE!
$PLUGINSDIR (delete this folder contents, used for installer)
C_ (AAX Plugin for ProTools)
Cthulhu.dll (VST).

Are there supposed to be? Or is this folder for saving custom presets?
Still trying to work out why Cthulhu won't send MIDI data to Nexus or any other VST in my Cubase. I've configured Nexus (and others) to receive from Cthulhu MIDI out but nothing plays. I'll keep tinkering..
Oh well still no luck getting Cthulhu to play another VST in Cubase 7.5
I can see the chords changing in Cthulhu when I press the keys on my MIDI keyboard but the info isn't getting replayed in my VST instrument even though it's configured to listen from Cthulhu MIDI OUT.
Any ideas?
Finally got it working. Not exactly sure how but anyway I'll spend some time trying the demo. Some lovely chord ideas.
