Cthulhu and Cubase 7.5 ?

Started by Torch

Hi, I loaded Cthulhu in the instrument rack (like a vst) and pointed a midi track to it consisting of chords. The Cthulhu instance is then pointed to Halion 5. So, the top of the inspector says "07 Cthulhu x64 Midi Out" and the slot below it says "03 Halion 5 Port A".

I hear sound, but it does not sound like Cthulhu is altering the sound. Is there a switch or is this setup wrong?

Thanks

James

disable the chords module in Cthulhu if you aren't using it (not sure). You need to input monitor or record-enable the Halion track. I would recommend something other than Halion for first-time use (since it has channels and more complexity).

Hi Steve,

I loaded fabfilter twin on an instrument channel and chose Cthulhu x64 midi out and left fabfilter as the midi in. Still no effect yet.

Did you load a chord preset? When did you download the Cthulhu demo, was it within the last 2 months?

Ok, email me [email protected] with a screenshot of Cthulhu running in Cubase, ideally full screen with Cthulhu visible and also the destination track/properties.

correct me if im wrong but i believe on the instrument channel the input should be cthulhu. and the little sound monitor symbol needs to be on. then go ot you chthulhu strip and choose a chord preset and it should play
