Hello,
I'm using Ableton 11 and Serum 1.351.
I'm using serum to play bass synths with my band, and I love it.
In Ableton, all of my songs are in session view mode. Each song occupies one row, and multiple tracks (drum, synth, playback, whatever).
I use a different serum preset for each song. Currently what I'm doing is adding a new track with a serum instance for each preset.
What I would like to do, is to have a single serum track (single instance) within Ableton, and change the serum preset using the Ableton midi clip program change command. In the Ableton's clip tabs, there are options for Midi Bank Select, Midi Sub Bank Select and Program Change.
I've seen a video on YouTube where people are doing it with Absynth. Here is also a link:
https://markmoshermusic.com/2014/09/22/how-to-send-a-midi-program-change-to-absynth-in-ableton-live/
You can see in this page that there is a section in Absynth where you can manually assign presets to bank/program numbers.
I would like to do the same thing with Serum, is it possible?
Regards
Lou
