new to Mac just installed serum but can't find the files to set it up in fl like I would on Windows I heard using boot camp but I'm unsure what amount of partioning space would be enough to run fl, serum smoothly please help!

I would give 25 GB personally at least, 40 would probably be more future proof. It all depends how big or small you want to go with plugins, etc. You could ask around on the Image-Line forums, you might get more replies there, and then add 1-2 GB for Serum, depending on how big you plan to go with wavetables and presets.
